This system is designed to operate 11
kV / 22 kV/33 kV H.T. Electric supply for H.T.
Consumers. This is basically for taking H.T. Supply
for the new establishments or for
converting OH / H.T. Sub-station of existing establishments.

This
arrangement is simple and safe arrangement for making and
breaking of H.T. Supply.
H.T. Consumers with H.T. Metering arrangements
with necessary protection fuses.

Due
to availability of very good insulating materials, the
clearances can be minimized.
Due to the canopy provided, birding is
totally eliminated. Clearances are as per I.E.
Rules applicable for air insulation,
indoor switchgear.

Earlier
porcelain insulators along with alkathine pipe for
conductor insulation was used.
Due to epoxy insulators and Raychem insulation the
size of total switchgear
has been
reduced.

(Specification)
The invention relates to setting up of new
arrangement for power supply system, for 11 kV, 22 kV, &
33 kV power supply system.
In the conventional set up 11/22/33 kV Power supply system made
with 4 Pole structure arrangement. In this 4 pole structure
arrangement, various problems like heavy erection work, requirement
of more space, more faults percentage during rainy season due to
outdoor system. The drawings are enclosed to have ready reference.
NEW SYSTEM
|
In case of
Kiosk, H.T. Cable is required for Kiosk as incoming and outgoing. The conventional power supply system is exposed to atmosphere causing
problems
due to bird faults etc. and it is also unsafe and uncomfortable to
rectify the faults
especially during heavy downpour.
The object
of the invention is to devise a system for obviating the above mentioned
problems,
and to make the power supply system more safe and to give an
aesthetically better outlook. The necessary drawings are enclosed
for ready reference.
It is also
the object of the invention to reduce space requirement (applicable
mainly
in urban areas) and to eliminate the hurdle due to installation of the
system in the
front portion of the establishment. With this invention, it is
easy to have a system
which is very simple in construction, easy for operation and also
available at
affordable price with better aesthetics.
Thus, according to this invention, the power supply system shall be
housed in pre-fabricated FRP Fibre glass / sheet metal casing of
size 2.5 mtr X 2.5 mtr with partition for metering room, with
underground cabling using GI structure. Copper Bus bars and terminals
encased with Raychem sleeves shall be used and a clearance is kept as
per IE Rules. Against the double stack insulators
used in the existing system, single stack insulators shall be used in
this new system as birding is not there.
In this new system Gang Operating Devices (G.O.D.) operation is with
gear boxes duly packed with grease, thus ensuring trouble-free
operation. Besides the above, the new system also provides
lockable doors for operation and maintenance.
The level of insulation is maintained during all seasons by providing
thermostat
space heaters, and moisture formation is avoided. The cabin is
Rodent Vermin
proof construction.
In this system supply company metering arrangement is made just below
the
CT / PT unit behind the see through lockable glass window. Due to
this, tampering with metering system is not possible and revenue will
not be affected since primary and secondary of CT / PT are totally
enclosed. Hence, proper billing can be achieved and stealing of
electricity is totally prevented.
Over and above without using CT / PT unit & meter, the balance
portion of the Kiosk can be used for replacement of 4-pole structure of
2-pole structures which are used by supply companies on roadside.
These arrangements shall avoid the hazards such as falling of structures
due to severe weather conditions or accidental falling of maintenance
staff from heights, preventing excess expenditure involved therein.
